Community Helpers: Composition Writing Workshop (2nd grade IEW)

Dive into the exciting world of community heroes! Students will explore how firefighters, police officers, road crews, and rescue workers keep neighborhoods safe and running smoothly. They'll learn to craft compelling compositions filled with stylistic techniques that bring stories to life. This course makes writing fun and meaningful by connecting lessons to real-life heroes students admire. Watch your students grow confident as they write with clear structure and creative flair. Get ready to inspire young writers while celebrating the everyday champions in our communities! This course does not constitute the student’s entire writing curriculum and is intended to be supplemental to their curriculum. Additional writing instruction and practice outside of this course will be necessary. Students should have basic sentence-writing skills. This course is not designed for students needing significant foundational writing support.
